Mom of this Cheer Cakes story
Rosa Pinto, 69, passed away on September 2, 2026, having battled an aggressive illness for almost two years. Her love of life and family drove her to exceed one prognosis after another to enjoy moments of peace, joy and good company in between. We thank God, as well as doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped her meet her goals and attempts to say farewell on her own terms. A selfless warrior, she fought for life and to give us the comfort of her company to the very end.
Rosi was born in the mountains of Peru, later studying and living in Lima where she graduated first in her class with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. She obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Ferrara and worked in Italy before joining her husband in the US to start a family. She found reliable and gainful employment through the US Postal Service and was a proud and loyal employee for over 25 years, including sending all mail and packages exclusively through USPS. She also started a small business with her daughter to make healthy keto gluten-free cakes.
Rosita was well loved by her immediate and extended family, her coworkers, and many friends. She was well liked by all who knew her, acquaintances, neighbors, postal employees and hospital staff. Rosi was generous and reliable to many and all groups, churches and organizations she participated. Rosi was a focal point and lynchpin in her family circles, a rock, a source of support, advice and guidance. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, sincerity, discipline, duty, hard work, courage and steadiness is known by all who knew her and she is severely missed.
Rosi was someone who loved others first, in return she was widely loved back. Rosi leaves behind her husband and three children: Stephanie, Nasly and Alex.
Services will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2026 in Miami, Fl.
